Emergency services were called to Chute Street in Diamond Creek at about 10pm yesterday, where they found an e-bike and 4WD had crashed.

A 14-year-old boy was treated at the scene but could not be revived and was declared dead.

Young people are gathering at the scene today to mourn their friend.

“He was a really nice guy. He was really easy to talk to,” one friend told 9News.

“He was like one of the best people I’ve ever met. He really didn’t deserve it.”

The 22-year-old driver of the 4WD was questioned by police, before being released without charge.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
