A woman is in a critical condition after being allegedly assaulted and run over in Sydney’s south-west this morning.

Police were called to a home in Narellan Vale around 8.30am where they found a 36-year-old woman with multiple injuries.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital.

She remains in a critical condition, and it is believed the incident could be domestic violence-related.

Police commenced an investigation, and at around 11am, a 36-year-old man was arrested in a phone box near Camden Valley Way.

He was taken to Narellan Vale Police Station, though he is yet to be formally charged.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Maddison Court at the time of the incident to come forward with any information or dashcam vision they may have.

Support is available from the National Sexual Assault, Domestic and Family Violence Counselling Service at 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732).
