At about 11.40am on Saturday, December 27, emergency services were called to a unit on Gore Street in Port Macquarie.

They found a woman suffering multiple injuries.

The 31-year-old was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital, where she died shortly after.

She has since been identified as Port Macquarie woman, Megan Tangye.

Following extensive inquiries and a post-mortem examination, police continue to treat her death as suspicious.
