When officers arrived on scene and began establishing a perimeter, a white van allegedly hit a male officer before driving away from the scene.
Police located the white van on Trafalgar Street in Petersham shortly after.
The pursuit continued through multiple suburbs in Sydney’s Inner West area before the vehicle came to a stop at a park on Mitchell Street in Croydon Park.
Two men, aged 41 and 38, were arrested at the scene and taken to Burwood Police Station, where inquiries are ongoing.
