A boy has died after being pulled unconscious from a pool on the NSW Mid North coast.

Emergency services were called to Bobs Farm at about 7.30pm last night following reports a four-year-old boy was found unresponsive after being pulled from a swimming pool.

Family members performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took over.

The boy was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.

An investigation into the incident has commenced and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
