Police uncovered cannabis plants at a property in Lochgelly on Saturday.
A man has been charged following a drugs bust at a home in Fife. Cops raced to a property on South Street in Lochgelly after receiving a report of suspicious activity at the address on Saturday afternoon.
Police confirmed cannabis plants worth an estimated street value of £153,720 were discovered inside. A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today.
Photos taken at the scene show a police presence outside the home, with at least four uniformed officers standing guard. One officer is wearing blue gloves, while a police riot van is parked outside.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Thompson said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities, and this recovery highlights our ongoing efforts to rid our communities of dangerous and illegal drugs.
“Information from the public is crucial, and we would like to thank members of the community for their cooperation. We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to bring those involved in their supply to justice.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Saturday, 12 September, 2026, we received a report of suspicious activity at a property on South Street. Officers attended and a cannabis cultivation was discovered with an estimated street value of £153,720.
“A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection, and is due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday, 14 September, 2026.”
