Emergency services were called to a home on Gallipoli Street in Condell Park following reports that two glass bottles containing petrol were thrown at the property, damaging a window.

Two of the bottles shattered on impact but failed to ignite, police said.

A third bottle was found in a bag in front of the home.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Investigators believe the attempted fire bombing was targeted.

A person riding a scooter was spotted riding north along Gallipoli Street immediately after the bottles were thrown.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation is now under way.
