Police visited a home in Montagu Bay, on Hobart’s eastern shore, to perform a welfare check about 2.30pm yesterday where they located a woman’s body.
A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with murder last night.
He was detained to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court this afternoon.
