One man killed, two injured after car crashes into pole in Victoria

Emergency services were called to School Road in Corio about 2am today after reports of a car crash.

Two men – believed to be a driver and a back seat passenger of the car – were treated at the scene by paramedics.

A third man, a passenger travelling in the front seat, was also treated by paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is now under way.

The fatal crash marks the 266th death on Victorian roads in 2025.
