Police find woman’s body after responding to domestic violence call in state’s north

A person remains on the run after a woman was found dead in a home in the NSW Hunter Valley by police responding to a domestic violence report last night.

At around 7.30pm, police responded to reports of domestic violence at an address in Kersley in Cessnock.

When police arrived they found the body of a woman in a 30s.

The suspect remains at large. (Nine)

She was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Local detectives and the state homicide squad are now working to find the suspect.

No details have been provided about the suspect in question.

The woman who passed away is now the 58th woman to be killed in Australia this year.
