A police chase has ended in a crash after a driver failed to stop for a breath test in Sydney’s north-west.

Officers attempted to stop a blue Toyota Yaris on Bevans Street in Dundas for a random breath test about 11.45pm yesterday.

A pursuit began after the driver failed to stop.

The chase ended after the vehicle crashed into a tree on a property on Glen Street in Northmead.

Two occupants fled the scene, however, the suspected driver, believed to be in his 30s, was arrested.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station, but was released pending further inquiries.
