Lottery officials are still trying to find one lucky person who has not realised they won a $4.8 million draw almost a year later.
A ticketholder purchased the only division one winning entry in the Set for Life draw 3404 in Kiama, on NSW’s Illawarra, on November 30 last year.
The prize was to be paid in $20,000 monthly instalments over the next 20 years, but the winner has not claimed it.
The winner did not register their ticket to the player card or an online account, making it a waiting game.
The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said one person’s life could have been, and still could be, so different.
“It’s incredible to think someone has been walking around for 12 months, potentially unaware they’re a multi-millionaire,” she said.
McIntyre urged anyone who purchased a Set for Life ticket from Nextra at Kiama Village last year to check their tickets for the winning numbers 33, 19, 40, 29, 28, 3 and 5.
“We’d love nothing more than this mystery winner to come forward, so be sure to check in all the weird and wonderful spots this ticket may be hiding,” she said.
There have been 370 division one winners so far this year, with 105 of those in NSW.
