Second company recalls alfalfa products over salmonella fears

Flowerdale Farm is recalling a range of its alfalfa sprouts products that have been for sale in fruit and vegetable shops in Victoria.

The products in question include Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa Salad Sprouts 120g, Flowerdale Farm Plain Alfalfa Sprouts 120g, Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa Radish Sprouts 120g, Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa Broccoli Sprouts 120g, Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa Garlic Sprout 120g, Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa Trio Sprouts 120g, Flowerdale Farm Gourmet Sprouts 125g, and Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa Onion Sprouts 120g.

All use-by dates up to and including November 20, 2025, are affected.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand warned that products contaminated with salmonella may cause illness if consumed.

Consumers are urged to return the products to their place of purchase for a full refund.
