Shoppers and onlookers were caught in the middle when a brawl erupted between teenage boys at Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney yesterday.

Police were called to the centre on Bay Street, Glebe, at about 5.50pm.

They were told a group of teens had confronted another boy in the food court before a verbal altercation.

The group then began to throw chairs at the boy, with some falling to a lower level of the shopping centre.

All the teens fled before police arrived and no injuries were reported.

Footage taken at the scene shows the teens hurling chairs at each other, before apparently targeting random shoppers.

One woman on an escalator had to dodge a stool hurled her way.

Police are investigating.
