Police have locked down an area in Perth’s western suburb as they respond to a “serious incident” at a home.

Officers are at the scene of a home on Mott Close at Mosman Park, with several surrounding streets blocked off.

“The situation is being assessed and an investigation commenced,” WA Police said in a statement.

“Members of the public are requested to stay away from the area, mindful that several streets in the vicinity are blocked off.”

“Police do not believe there are any safety concerns to members of the community.”

A St John WA spokesperson said five crews were called to the scene at 8.29am (AWST) under priority one.

“Two crews remain on scene.” the spokesperson said.
