A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after an alleged antisemitic incident in Melbourne on Monday.

Footage appeared to show a white ute, which police say was stolen, following and circling a group of Jewish boys in St Kilda East at about 9.50pm.

The occupants of the ute allegedly performed Nazi salutes and shouted hate speech.

The 15-year-old was arrested in Carrum yesterday morning and interviewed in relation to the incident.

The Yarra Ranges teen was also interviewed in relation to a series of other alleged offences in the city’s south-east.

He was charged with vehicle theft and bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

The investigation into the St Kilda East incident continues and detectives are seeking a second teen believed to have been involved.

Anybody with information or footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
