Emergency services were called to Springbrook Road at Neranwood, finding the car several metres down an embankment, about 11am.
Sadly, the driver and sole occupant was found dead inside that vehicle, which was flipped upside down with a suitcase inside.
The person has since been taken away from the scene by authorities but it’s understood they had been reported missing by their loved ones.
It’s took emergency services a number of hours to winch the car back up to the road so police can begin examining it.
There will be a thorough investigation into exactly what may have caused this tragic crash.
