An image containing a photo of US President Donald Trump appears to have been removed from the Department of Justice’s “Epstein Library.”

The image was of a desk with several framed photos, as well as an open drawer with additional photos.

This photograph, file 468, from the Epstein files that includes a photo of Donald Trump, was originally included in the Department of Justice’s files realeased Friday. The photo no longer appears on their website. (CNN)

The picture is one of few references to Trump in the documents that the Justice Department released Friday.

There is a gap on the DOJ’s Epstein files website where the image containing Trump was previously linked. The image was numbered “EFTA00000468,” but as of Saturday at 2.45pm ET (6.45am Sunday AEDT), the website jumps from file “EFTA00000467” to “EFTA00000469.”

It’s not immediately clear why the photo may have been removed. CNN has reached out to the Department of Justice and the White House for comment.

Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing or charged with any crimes in connection with Epstein.

Congressional Democrats highlighted the image’s apparent removal on Saturday.

“(Attorney General Pam Bondi) is this true? What else is being covered up? We need transparency for the American public,” House Oversight Committee Democrats wrote in a post on X.

Senator Chuck Schumer asked on X, “And if they’re taking this down, just imagine how much more they’re trying to hide … This could be one of the biggest coverups in American history.”
