Police have released the name and image of the man they believe shot and killed three people in central-west NSW yesterday, and officers say the alleged shooter is related to all of the slain.

Julian Ingram, also known as Pierpoint, is wanted on an outstanding warrant for murder.

Emergency services were called to Bokhara Street in Lake Cargelligo at about 4.30pm yesterday.

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland said Ingram was believed to be “armed and dangerous”.

“It looks like it’s a domestic violence-related incident,” he told Today.

“All the victims appear to be related to the offender at this stage, and that’s the avenue our investigations will take at this point.”

Specialist police, including tactical officers, have flown in to Lake Cargelligo and are now undertaking a large-scale search for the suspected shooter, Ingram.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 165cm-170cm tall, of medium build, with short dark hair, and brown eyes.

He was last seen driving a Ford Ranger ute with NSW plates reagind DM 07 GZ.

Anybody who sees Ingram is urged not to approach and contact Triple Zero immediately.

Anybody with information in relation to his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
Additionally, anybody in the Lake Cargelligo area who may have footage or images relevant to the investigation is asked to upload it here.
