A woman in Queensland made a miraculous escape after becoming trapped when her car lost control and ended up on train tracks.

Haunting CCTV vision shows the incident which took place on Mayes Avenue in the Logan suburb of Kingston about 10.30pm yesterday evening.

Just minutes earlier, the car was seen careening around a corner, before flying off a three-metre cliff and onto the tracks.

Incredibly, the woman in the car only suffered minor injuries. (Nine)

“I quickly ran out and went to assist, saw the car upside down on the track,” a witness told 9News.

The female driver became trapped as witnesses tried to free her from the wreckage.

But they had to abandon their heroic attempts as an oncoming train approached.

”We had to quickly get up to safety and we just watched helplessly as the train just smashed into the car,” the witness added.

Incredibly, the woman in the car only suffered minor injuries.

She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in stable condition.

Nobody on the train was injured.
